The Job...
In this versatile Technical Business Analyst role, will be mainly responsible for the following duties:

  • Create detailed mapping and design documents .
  • Document technical specifications, data models, and ensure alignment with business and data flows.
  • Assist stakeholders with data analysis and support specifically for Insurance related services.
  • Execute complex data tasks for projects, including data reconciliation, extraction, transformation, cleaning, and problem identification.
  • Work closely with delivery and technical teams in Agile/Scrum environments on design and development tasks.
  • Partner with business teams to grasp processes and reporting needs.
  • Perform data analysis to support ETL development, issue resolution, and related activities.

To be successful in this role, you must have experience in the following areas:

  • 6+ years experience in technical business and data analysis within complex systems.
  • Strong SQL skills with over 6 years of experience.
  • Familiarity with the insurance industry, workers compensation and Guidewire will be highly favoured. 
  • Proven experience with data warehouses / marts supporting business requirements, BI report development, and report analysis 
  • Proficient in agile methodologies like Scrum or Kanban.
  • Experienced in fast-paced, matrixed project environments.
  • Knowledge of data mapping and modeling tools such as SPARX or ERWIN.
  • Exposure to Snowflake database. 
  • Experience with AWS tools set Lambda and glue is desirable. 
  • Experience in ETL Tool - Matillion is beneficial.
