Purpose

This position will use Planning tools and ERP to project future sales, identifying opportunity and risk at category level and recommending actions in season to trade the business. 

**Please note that this is a 12 month maternity cover contract**

Key Accountabilities

  • Establish budgets in conjunction with HOP and HOPDS for sales, markdowns, purchases, stock levels, stock turn, margin % and margin dollars for Politix product categories.
  • Ensure Merchandise Plans (WSSIs) are updated weekly with clear and accurate visibility of future sales and stock projections.
  • In season trading, review and recommend forward forecasts on sales, markdowns, stock, stock turn, margin, purchases and gross profit.
  • Ensure availability of key core lines item planning tracking tools and working with the product team to ensure on time delivery of goods.
  • Attend the weekly trading meetings, provide analysis and recommendations to achieve Sales, GP & Stock target as required.
  • Develop seasonal option plans in conjunction with the HOP and HOPDS to ensure that we have the correct balance of options in the range by grade, channel and price point.
  • Set up the category gridding and store cluster strategies for all Politix stores.
  • Ensure that initial allocations and replenishment are managed each week to meet potential sales.
  • Leadership role within the Planning team to help to ensure consistency in processes across all departments.
  • Manage Junior Planners, providing guidance and training where required with a goal of upskilling team.
