Job Description:

Boart Longyear has been a leading provider of drilling products and services to the global minerals industry for over 130 years. The Products Division is a leading provider of drilling equipment and performance tooling for mining and drilling companies globally. Our range of highly productive drill rigs and tooling is suited to a variety of applications including, mining, mineral exploration, energy and environmental sampling.

The Sales Operations Administrator will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our sales team. This role involves coordinating travel arrangements, managing purchasing activities, and providing comprehensive support to the sales and management teams. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and has a strong ability to multitask in a dynamic sales environment.

Want to know a little more about the role? Day-to-day tasks include:

Travel Arrangements: Coordinate and manage travel itineraries for the sales team, including flights, accommodations, transportation, and visas. Ensure travel plans are cost-effective and align with company policies.

Purchasing: Oversee the purchasing process for sales-related materials and equipment. Maintain inventory levels and process purchase orders in a timely manner.

Management Support: Provide administrative support to the sales management team, including scheduling meetings, preparing reports, and handling correspondence. Assist in the preparation of presentations and other documentation as required.

Data Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales data and records. Generate reports and analyze data to support sales strategy and decision-making.

Communication: Serve as a liaison between the sales team and other departments to facilitate smooth operations and effective communication. Address and resolve any operational issues that arise.

Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline sales operations processes and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and productivity.

A few other things we’re looking for:

Proven experience in an administrative or operations role, preferably within a sales environment.

Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Experience with travel coordination and purchasing processes.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

High attention to detail and accuracy.

Prior exposure to Egencia travel booking system and Oracle ERP will be highly regarded.
