FORWARDING EXPERTS WITH GLOBAL REACH & LOCAL KNOWLEDGE

Overall Role Purpose

RTR Specialist is responsible for:

  • Executing RTR finance processes in compliance with DPDHL policies, global SOPs, local SOPs and local regulatory requirements (legal and tax).
  • Using functional knowledge to apply relevant and appropriate levels of judgment and decision making.
  • Working closely with offshore shared service team to ensure open lines of communication.
  • Resolution of issues from balance sheet reconciliations and the month end close process.
  • Responsible for local regulatory reporting, statistics and ad-hoc requests.
  • Reporting to head office and regional office when required.
  • Ensuring month end close tasks are completed within MEC calendar time frames
  • Supporting internal and external auditors with their requests.

Skills / Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualified in Finance or an equivalent qualification.
  • Two (2) to three (3) years of work experience in a related field.
  • Proven hands-on experience in accounting systems and analytical tools.
  • Excellent accounting knowledge.
  • Good knowledge of accounting standards, and statutory, regulatory, and legal requirements.
  • Solid experience in MS Excel (e.g. Pivot Tables, charts, etc.) required with the ability to manage large data volumes.
  • A high degree of conceptual and analytical skills, well-organised, structured, and independent mode of working.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), fluent in English.
  • Ability to take initiative and follow up with details.
  • Experience working with a shared service team.
  • Ability to reconcile accounting differences and provide accounting solutions to resolve issues.
  • Commitment to meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to take ownership and show a full understanding of the P&L/Balance sheet in the area of responsibility.
