Fuse Recruitment are sourcing for a Maintenance Fitter for a large National client based at Manly to become part of a dynamic and progressive maintenance team in the Manufacturing Industry.

THE OPPORTUNITY:

  • We are currently looking for a Maintenance Fitter to join the maintenance team based at Manly.
  • The Maintenance Fitter will report directly to the Maintenance Manager and work closely with Maintenance Electricians, Operators and Process Engineers to ensure that Equipment and Production machinery reliability is dealt with in an efficient and timely manner.
  • As a strong team player the Maintenance Fitter will be willing to work and collaborate to assist operationally outside the areas of core responsibility and contribute to building a high performing team culture.

THE ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Working days:

  • Monday to Friday working day shift
  • Flexibility to work Afternoon shift is desirable (shift loading applies)

Duties:

  • Carry out Preventative and Breakdown maintenance to plant and equipment within the production facility to ensure the plant is run smoothly and can produce products in line with factory schedule
  • Document Completed works in PRONTO
  • High level of technical and diagnostic skills to enable fault finding of a mechanical nature.
  • Complete services to machinery which includes working in confined spaces to ensure issues are identified and resolved before they occur.
  • Manage inventory of critical spares.
  • Take the lead on delivery of smaller projects to scope/user requirements.
  • Participate in repair and maintenance of all site plant and equipment.
  • Knowledge of and promote safe work practices.
  • Ability to assist with Project work and new Installation.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE:

  • Trade Certificate and/or equivalent qualification
  • 3-5 years previous experience in an Industrial manufacturing environment
  • Forklift license
  • Confined space license
  • Electrical disconnect/reconnect
  • Elevated work platform (EWP) over 11 m
  • Knowledge of equipment maintenance processes.
  • Excellent teamwork skills and ability to maintain a hands-on approach when required.
  • Knowledge of WH&S requirements within a production environment.
  • Demonstrated understanding of Work, Health and Safety
  • Flexibility in work hours where need be.
