Part-Time ECC Night Receptionist, Southpaws Specialty Surgery – Malvern

The Role: 

The ideal candidate will be customer-focused, willing to go the extra mile, and have an eye for detail. Compassion and empathy for both people and their furry family members is a must. You will be able to work independently and as part of a team whilst demonstrating strong communication skills, along with having a collaborative team approach. 

The ideal candidate should have:

  • Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in Reception or Customer Support.

  • Medical background or Veterinary Reception/Nurse background is preferred but not essential.

  • Exceptional customer service skills and phone manner.

  • Excellent time management and multi-tasking abilities.

  • Polite and resilient nature.

  • A willingness to get involved in all areas of the clinic.

  • Energetic and driven.

  • Ability to use initiative, assume responsibility for tasks, and resolve problems.

  • Knowledge of ezyVet advantageous but not essential.

Duties include, but are not limited to: 

  • Working from 6 pm to midnight with some weekend shifts.

  • Delivering outstanding client care to all patients and owners.

  • Handling client enquiries professionally in person, by email, and over the phone.

  • Performing administration duties and associated tasks.

  • Managing the appointment schedule.

  • Taking payments and balancing the banking at the end of the shift.

  • Assisting with product sales and client education.

  • Ensuring the front of the house is always clean and presentable.

  • Performing ad hoc duties around the hospital to support the team as needed.
