PPG are currently seeking a Specifications & Projects Manager to help shape the future direction of Specifications, Warranties & Inspections for the business. The successful candidate will lead meaningful change across the organization to create and embed a best practice function, engaging numerous stakeholders in this journey.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical specifications and advice on all our products to new and existing customers. Ensure that an excellent customer experience is delivered to all.
  • Devise written technical specifications and advise the commercial team on technical and product matters.
  • Produce, maintain and drive the use of our technical specification documents to maintain and gain incremental business and maximise margin whilst reducing risk.
  • Provide right first-time technical support and guidance to all internal and external customers in order to achieve maximum sales and gain competitive advantage.
  • Deliver advice and support with technical solutions for use in public, commercial and private buildings and support the organization’s drive towards specification and brand development.
  • Determine through analysis, surface and coatings defects/conditions and offer the right product solution and written specification to resolve issues.

Requirements

  • Have equivalent qualification, with extensive proven paint product knowledge and application experience at a senior level.
  • Thorough knowledge of specifications, warranties & associated inspections – in particular, architectural coatings and the broader painting and decorating industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal at all levels
  • Capable of working independently using own initiative or as part of a team.
  • Certifications in the following fields are well regarded: Technical Degree, Nace Certifications, Archify
