The Opportunity

Located in Ormiston, Cleveland Gardens Retirement Living is a large retirement living community, home to 200+ independent living units filled with gardens, croquet lawns, bowling green, a workshop, and much more As a Gardener, you will enjoy working closely with staff and residents to ensure all grounds, gardens and common areas are well-maintained, presentable and safe for all to enjoy. If you enjoy spending time outdoors and being hands-on, we want to hear from you

We have two permanent full-time opportunities available - Monday-Friday 7-3pm. 

What we offer:

  • $27.50/hr + superannuation + relevant entitlements including penalty rates, overtime and allowances

You will

  • Be responsible for the gardens & grounds, including but not limited to: mowing, pruning, hedging, weeding and leaf blowing 
  • Attend to various maintenance requests to create a safe and pleasant environment for residents, visitors, staff and others
  • Liaise with stakeholders to ensure projects undertaken are safe, timely and completed to a high standard
  • Carry out preventative garden and maintenance tasks around the community as per schedules 
  • Be a friendly face to the residents and work alongside a fantastic team

What you'll bring

  • Experience in General 'Handyperson' Maintenance, Gardening or Landscaping roles (highly desired)
  • Current Police Check certificate (required, but if you do not possess, we can complete for you)
  • Valid driver's licence and two (2) COVID-19 doses (required)
