We are now excited to invite applications for the role of Senior Event Manager with our awesome MKTG team in Melbourne.

Our business offering includes commercial rights acquisition and management, sponsorship consulting and management, research and insights, hospitality, brand experiences and events management, and in-stadium creative and event production.

The role:

As the Senior Event Manager, you are a crucial member of MKTG’s award winning Events team, working directly with the team’s Event Director and Head of Events in leading the delivery of events and experiences, bringing to life our client’s vision by creating experiences that have an unforgettable impact.

This exciting role will see you participate and contribute in strategy and planning activities to support the effective operation, functionality, and capacity of the events team to deliver high quality solutions and services that meet & exceed MKTG’s client expectations.

Core responsibilities:

Responsible for coordinating the successful delivery of end to end event requirements ensuring projects are on time, on budget and delivered in line with expectations. Participate and engage with key stakeholders including the Partnerships and Events team and other departments as required working in project teams for optimal delivery on behalf of the client.  Develop comprehensive plans to support project delivery including resource allocation, timelines, budget, schedules, stakeholder and supplier briefs, logistics, talent, equipment, safety and security, and facilities. Lead the management of event / project budgets including cost projections, cost control, payments and reporting Develop relationships across all business areas to effectively collaborate, plan and co-design solutions and services to deliver on client’s needs.

A bit about you:

Exceptional verbal, written, communication, presentation skills and stakeholder engagement Experience and understanding of event logistics, budget management, project management, supplier negotiations and management, marketing, custom build requirements, and creative elements. Solutions focussed with the ability to quickly problem solve 5-7 years’ experience in event management with a strong network of suppliers nationally Client focused and passionate about delivering high quality solutions that exceed expectations Highly organised with proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Demonstrated ability to lead ensuring that contractors and suppliers are engaged in accordance with established policies and procedures and adhere to compliance requirements including insurance, risk management and safety
