The AIR 5428 Pilot Training System partners with the Australian Defence Force for development of its military pilot workforce at four operating bases, RAAF Base East Sale, RAAF Base Pearce, RAAF Base Edinburgh, and RAAF Base Williamtown. Implementing a tailored learning solution, Lockheed Martin leads the delivery of this approach for all Royal Australian Air Force, Royal Australian Navy and the Australian Army candidates; as well as supporting operations for other key Australian Defence Force aviation units.

This role can be located in either Adelaide SA, East Sale VIC, Melbourne VIC, Williamstown NSW or Pearce WA.
 

Your responsibilities will include:

The Data Management and Continuous Improvement Analyst will support the Configuration and Data Management Team, as well as the Continuous Improvement Team for the ADF Pilot Training System (PTS) Program. The role is responsible for assisting with data management, configuration management, and continuous improvement activities for the PTS Program; carrying out continuous improvement activities, such as change implementation, process improvements, and writing work instructions; delivering configuration and data management process and tools training to teams; and ensuring that configuration and data management activities are undertaken in accordance with associated plans and procedures.

Key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Undertake and support PTS Program continuous improvement activities.
  • Review processes and engage key stakeholders across a variety of business areas and advise management where the processes could be improved.
  • Undertake process implementation, including training to project personnel.
  • Write/update Processes and Work Instructions.
  • Promote change management through process improvement and delivery of innovation and change.
  • Provide Data Management support to overall program products and services.
  • Progress change documents through the review and Configuration Management process.
  • Assist with Program task management in JIRA, via raising, assigning and monitoring tasks.

About you:

Although tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and a background in Defence and/or Engineering is desirable, it is not essential. The successful  candidate must demonstrate that they have a background in Administration, Data or Records Management, or Configuration Management.
To be successful in this role you will also have:

  • Experience in Document Management and with Document Editing/Publishing Tools
  • Experience with PLM tools, such as Windchill
  • Experience with programs such as Confluence and Jira
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement ability
  • Proficient user of Windows based computer systems
