About the opportunity

The Melbourne University Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology are seeking and enthusiastic and experienced Midwife to lead and manage the Clinical Midwife Research team.

What you’ll bring

You’re resilient, compassionate and have a whole lot of heart. Most importantly, you are committed to delivering exceptional patient-centered care.

To thrive in this role, you will have:

  • Excellent clinical, time management, organisational and communication skills, with the ability to adapt and problem solve.

  • The ability to nurture friendly, respectful relationships and contribute to a collaborative team environment.

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Midwife

  • Post Graduate qualifications in midwifery or research highly regarded

  • Good Clinical Practice certificate for all research staff – essential or working towards

  • Strong interest and commitment in research

  • Good communicator and team member

  • Basic computer skills, and experience with REDCap data entry system desirable

  • Laboratory experience desirable

You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:

  • A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.

  • Current COVID-19 certificate, proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
