Job Description

The company and project : We are currently working with a Sydney-based client who is a leader in the ERP and EPM space. The team is about to start a migration from a legacy ERP to D365 F&O. This is a great opportunity to work on a large-scale, brand-new implementation project in Sydney

Overview: We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Data Lead to pilot our data management and migration initiatives. This critical role involves ownership of the global data model, leading data migration efforts, and leveraging a team of data and business analysts to ensure a seamless transition to D365 Finance and Operations (F&O).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Global Data Model Ownership: Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive global data model that aligns with future state requirements. Ensure it serves as the foundation for organizing and structuring data across D365 F&O and integrated systems.

  • Data Migration Leadership: Oversee data migration processes, ensuring data is accurately transformed, cleaned, and migrated to D365 F&O. Coordinate with data and business analysts to streamline these processes.

  • Structured Data Management: Provide a structured framework for organizing and managing essential business data, including customer, vendor, product, and financial transaction information.

  • Consistency and Standardization: Ensure consistency and standardization of data across various entities and modules within D365 F&O. This is crucial for accurate reporting, analytics, and decision-making.

  • Scalability and Flexibility: Design a scalable and flexible data model that can accommodate organizational growth and evolving business needs, regulatory changes, and industry standards.

  • Integration with External Systems: Facilitate integration with other systems by defining clear data structures, formats, and protocols for seamless data exchange.

  • Globalisation and Localisation: Support global operations by designing a data model that accommodates multiple languages, currencies, and regional variations in taxation, accounting standards, and business practices.

  • User Experience Enhancement: Ensure the data model enhances user experience by organizing data logically, making it easy to navigate and accessible for users across various roles and functions within the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in data management, data migration, and developing data models, with at least a one project within D365 F&O..
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team of data and business analysts.
  • Expertise in structured data management and ensuring data consistency and standardization.
  • Ability to design scalable and flexible data models that meet business requirements.
  • Experience in integrating ERP systems with external applications.
  • Understanding of globalisation and localisation needs within a data model.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders across different regions and functions.
