POSITION PRIMARY PURPOSE


Provide technical leadership for implementation of data technology solutions, including but not limited to Cloudera Data Platform, Azure Cloud and Tableau that meet business requirements and align with the enterprise architecture and standards.


POSITION OBJECTIVES

  • Working closely with the architects and various IT teams, provide technical leadership to implement Cloudera Data Platform on the Azure Cloud; Tableau and other data and analytical solutions for the enterprise.
  • Perform systems analysis, produce detailed designs, architecture documents and seek approvals for the new systems ensuring compliance with the relevant IT standards.
  • Evaluate and undertake impact analysis on design options and assess associated risks.
  • Ensure that the designs balances functional, service quality and systems management requirements.
  • Work with the program teams and other related teams in IT, Business and Enterprise Data Office to ensure the requirements are well understood; and solutions are implemented as designed and intended.
  • Enhance the availability, security and performance of the solutions by creating compliant processes, security measures, standards and best practices.
  • Provide input to project planning, scheduling, estimation, status reporting and risk and issue resolution.
  • Support the systems through problem resolution, debugging and system enhancements, especially around implementation and warranty period.
  • Provide advice, guidance and assistance to less experienced colleagues as required.

QUALIFICATIONS, ACCREDITATIONS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Degree qualifications, accreditations or certifications relevant to BI Technology.
  • Knowledge of BI Technology including Cloudera (Hadoop) Data Platform, Azure Cloud and Tableau. Knowledge of Power BI, RStudio, Python, ETL Tools is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Knowledge of Azure architecture and design standards.
  • Advanced Knowledge of the System Development Life Cycle.
  • Understanding of industry trends, technologies and best practices.

EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience in the following technologies: Azure Cloud, Cloudera Data Platform and Tableau is a must have. RStudio, Python and ETL experience is desirable.
  • Experience in authentication and access control principles and implementation.
  • Experience in defining and implementing information architectures and systems.
  • Experience in migrating and implementing BI Solutions in the Cloud.
  • Experience using Microsoft tools: Visio, Azure Dev Ops and Visual Studio.
  • Experience in writing and reviewing technical documentation.
