Summary:

The Data Lead will oversee the end-to-end data journey, focusing on critical data elements and how they feed through the data warehouse. This role involves execution, problem-solving, and ensuring data governance and architecture align with the organizational goals. The candidate will work in the Data & Analytics space, particularly within the context of Financial Crime projects, and will be responsible for rolling out data governance practices and managing data flows and enrichment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Programme Oversight: Examine and evaluate the programme from a data perspective, ensuring the end-to-end journey is efficient and effective.
  • Data Governance: Implement and maintain data governance frameworks, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • System and Data Ownership: Act as the Data Owner/System Owner, managing critical data elements and their integration into the data warehouse.
  • Problem Solving: Address and resolve execution and data-related problems within the data bank services role.
  • Data Architecture: Review and enhance the architecture of the systems to support data governance and management.
  • Team Leadership: Ideally lead a team, or work as a senior technical expert if team lead experience is not available.
  • Project Management: Oversee the completion and success of Financial Crime projects, especially within large banks.
  • Data Enrichment: Manage data flows and ensure data enrichment processes are optimized.

Requirements:

  • Financial Crime Experience: Previous experience with Financial Crime projects is highly desirable.
  • Banking Experience: Familiarity with the top 4 banks and their data systems.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong technical background in data management, with experience in data architecture and governance.
  • Leadership: Experience in leading a team or acting as a senior technical person within a project.
  • Analytical Skills: Proficient in data analysis, with a focus on critical data elements and their application within a data warehouse.
  • Execution and Problem Solving: Proven ability to execute data strategies and solve complex data-related issues.
