This position is to provide system administration for a Legal Practice Management System.

The Role:

Operations Support

  • Manage and support the operation for the legal practice management systems.
  • Test and maintain operating and system software with adherence to procedures.
  • Ensure business continuity by providing first point of contact onsite technical assistance and support.
  • Responsible for the analysis and resolution of software problems encountered.
  • Liaise and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure systems meet business requirements and information needs.
  • Coordinate and liaise with ICT Service Desk, vendor and users to restore, test applications and assist with UAT.
  • Liaise with vendor and software owners to evaluate patches, hot fixes and upgrades released by vendors in conjunction with application owners.

User Training

  • Provide formal and informal training and support for both new users and ongoing end users.
  • Develop application user guidelines, training manuals and /or work instructions to support and conduct future training sessions.
  • Develop and deliver training to a broad range of legal professionals both in a face-to-face and digital training environment.

Reporting

  • Produce service level reports and circulate to all relevant parties as a basis for measures to improve service quality.
  • Provides reports on data collections, activity reports, research and arranges other reports from data extracted from applications through vendor.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in systems monitoring and administration, and database management, and sound application of relevant information systems technology.
  • Demonstrated conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills and application of these to provision of reports and advice as well as management of relevant projects.
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills including capacity to maintain internal and external customer relationships and provide advice and training to system users.
  • Experience in the development and maintenance of technical procedures, manuals and documentation
