About Our Client

Our client is a major distributor based in Mulgrave and they have a need for an onsite support engineer to join their team on a 6-month contract.

Job Description

The onsite support engineer will be responsible for:

  • Fulfil Incidents/Service Request tickets assigned to the site support group, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Act as the primary technical expert for client infrastructure and desktop support requests, delivering comprehensive assistance and solutions.
  • Provide on-site support for information security, servers, networks, peripherals, and related infrastructure needs.
  • Adhere to Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) standards and best practices, following the lead and guidance from the ITSM organisation.
  • Participate in IT project coordination, contributing to the successful implementation of IT initiatives.
  • Maintain and perform required reporting & inventory management.
  • Manage service providers and outsourced resources to ensure optimal service delivery.

The Successful Applicant

The successful individual will ideally possess the following:

  • Proven experience in a similar IT support role.
  • Strong knowledge of ITIL standards and best practices.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills across a range of IT systems and applications.
  • Ability to manage and coordinate multiple tasks and projects.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience with hardware life-cycle management.
