Job description

We in Finance like to think of ourselves as allrounders. We not only look to be experts on all things accounting standards and what this means for the business, but we also aim to consult and add value on workflows and decision making throughout the entire business.

It's an exciting time to be a part of this growth and you’ll be keen to develop and push yourself not only within an accounting environment, but a fast paced evolving business. Reporting to the Finance Manager, as the Financial Accountant...

You will…

  • Work alongside our Senior Accountants, reporting into the Finance Lead and play a critical role in the month-end close procedures; preparing & posting journals.

  • Prepare weekly bank reconciliations to be sent to our Global head office
  • Manage capital expenditure (CAPEX), including maintenance of the fixed assets register across our offices and distribution centres
  • Prepare and manage IFRS 16 related reconciliations, accounting for leases across the business
  • Prepare statutory lodgements such as monthly business activity statements and quarterly surveys
  • Build working relationships with the Accounts Payable function based locally and abroad providing updates and feedback on accounting treatment & accruals processes
  • Assist throughout the half-year and year-end audit processes through providing necessary support, answering queries and assisting with financial statement preparation

You have…

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance
  • 3+ years working experience (auditing and commercial background preferred)
  • A working knowledge of fundamental accounting concepts and standards
  • Previous experience of working in a fast-paced business and a role which involves offering business critical analysis
  • Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills and exposure to an ERP system (Oracle would be advantageous)

 You are…

  • Detail oriented and have a passion for accuracy
  • Able to work autonomously and with limited direction
  • Proactive, ambitious, and assertive: you take ownership of your work and think beyond the scope of a given assignment
  • Excited to work for a food business that is transforming the way people shop & eat

What you’ll get in return…

  • The chance to have a significant impact on one of the fastest-growing global food technology companies
  • Company discount - 70% off HelloFresh boxes
  • Flexible working arrangements - hybrid working environment
  • Egoless environment, constant learning with room for personal growth
  • Free access to Headspace
  • HelloFresh Academies - monthly internal learning & development
  • A diverse and vibrant international environment, with offices in 18 countries
