Job Description

Reporting to the Group Finance Manager, and under the guidance of Head of Finance, your duties will include but not be limited to:

  • End of month cycle, including posting journals, preparing balance sheet reconciliations
  • Perform analysis of brand P&L and be able to provide commentaries for variances between actual and budget
  • Assist with half year reviews and end of year audits and partner with external auditors
  • Business partnering with various other functions such as Marketing, Supply Chain, Merchandise Planning to support expenditure monitoring and the overall achievement of business goals
  • Interpret accounting standards and apply knowledge on day-to-day workings
  • Support the Group Finance Manager and assist other team members with the achievement of team objectives and projects

The Successful Applicant

To be successful in this position you will have the following experience/attributes:

  • Working towards CA or CPA qualification
  • Experience working within Retail or a related industry as a Junior Accountant or Assistant Accountant
  • Proficient Excel skills, including vlookups, pivot tables etc.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail
