About the Role

This role is pivotal in our wider finance team to help elevate our finance function. You will get to take on projects, work closely with key stakeholders in the business as well as managing an assistant accountant. This role is responsible for leading and developing two accountants, and is a critical leadership role within the financial control team.

You will be responsible for:

  • Monthly balance sheet reconciliations for all accounts
  • Review reconciliations of sales from POS to Dashboard and NetSuite for company and franchise restaurants
  • Completion of month end journals, including accruals, prepayments and amortisation schedules
  • Review of Fixed Asset Register (FAR) and posting of deprecation, monthly off-charge of Finance support costs from Grill'd to Koko Black
  • Manage the Year-End audit, and preparation of FBT reporting
  • Manage Lease Accounting
  • Monthly reporting of sales to landlords
  • Support the management of cashflow forecasting
  • Manage Capex reporting for the business on a monthly basis
  • Reconciliation of all taxation and payment to relevant bodies

What we are looking for?

  • We are looking for someone with strong experience within a similar role that has worked on projects and driven process improvement
  • Ideally you will have experience in people management and a passion for mentoring
  • You will ideally be CA or CPA qualified
  • A proactive attitude and the ability to help improve inefficiencies
  • A natural born communicator and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders
  • You will thrive in a fast paced team environment and remain composed under pressure
