The Stakeholder ​Manager ​will be responsible for delivering effective strategic communications and stakeholder engagement activities to support the successful delivery of Adelaide Airports Capital Plan to a diverse set of internal and external stakeholder groups. 

Responsible for ensuring internal and external stakeholders and customers are provided an opportunity to be involved and/ or kept informed about activities, changes, and milestones relating to the Adelaide Airport capital plan. 

The position will ensure stakeholder and communication management plans are developed, ensuring internal and external stakeholder issues are strategically considered. 

  • Responsible for delivering effective strategic communications and stakeholder engagement activities to support the successful delivery of Adelaide Airports Capital Plan to a diverse set of internal and external stakeholder groups. 

  • Responsible for ensuring internal and external stakeholders and customers are kept informed about activities, changes, and milestones relating to projects in the  capital plan. 

  • The position will ensure stakeholder and communication management plans are developed and objectives achieved. Devising a strategic approach for stakeholder engagement, ensuring AAL objectives and priorities are defined and delivered, with internal and external stakeholder issues strategically considered. 

  • Develop and deliver communication material in line with requirements in aeronautical agreements  

  • Identify and engage with a diverse range of stakeholders in line with stakeholder and communication management plans, including AAL, airlines, airport tenants, concessions/retail/F&B and other stakeholders as agreed with other teams   - Understand their needs, concerns, and expectations related to airport development and delivery.   

  • Foster positive relationships with stakeholders to promote collaboration and alignment. 

  • Coordinate with various departments to collect accurate data and updates. 

  • Working closely with the Corporate Team, disseminate information through appropriate channels as required.  

  • Interface with the Stakeholder Management Committee/ working group. 

  • Provide strategic advice for stakeholder relationships and reputation management. 

  • Point of contact for project complaints relating to terminal, airfield and landside projects, assessing if complaints need to be escalated to Corporate, plan and manage the associated activities, risks, and opportunities. 

  • Engage with the wider project teams to provide guidance and consistency of distribution of communications to target stakeholder audience. 

  • Manage, develop, and mentor the stakeholder team.  

  • Active member on Operational Readiness and Transition (ORAT) Working Group, identifying stakeholder and communications requirements to support the successful transition to operations. 

  • Work closely with the ORAT Manager to ensure that communication materials and engagement opportunities are scheduled into the ORAT and construction programs, enabling key stakeholders to provide feedback on project elements.  

  • Provide input and participate in Project Control Group (PCG) meetings and other/ future forums as required.  

  • Other duties that may be required.

Qualifications 

Essential 

Bachelor’s degree in communications, project management, business, a related field or relevant industry experience 

Desirable 

IAP2 Certificate of Engagement 

Experience 

Essential 

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in stakeholder engagement or communications. 

  • Proven ability to develop engagement plans, manage projects, and handle contentious issues. 

  • Proven leadership qualities 

  • Well-developed and effective oral and written communication skills 

  • A good knowledge of standard office and business software applications 

  • Demonstrated experience building relationships across diverse stakeholder groups with competing priorities. 

Desirable  

  • Familiarity with the aviation industry and its unique challenges. 

  • Familiarity with the construction industry.
