About the job

As Senior Communications Adviser, you will spearhead the development, delivery and evaluation of strategic communication for our metro growth program. This program will see us invest $1.2 billion over the next 4 years to expand our networks and support state housing growth. You will craft and execute external and internal communication plans and manage issues to support delivery of effective stakeholder engagement. You will be a strategic thinker, and have exceptional project planning and time management skills and a flair for developing results-driven communication that engages diverse audiences.

Your responsibilities for this opportunity include:

  • Providing expert advice on positioning and managing communications to support our metro growth program.
  • Developing, implementing and evaluating strategic external and internal communication plans, and navigating government processes.
  • Producing and managing high-quality content across various channels, including copy, images, videos, and presentations, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Building and maintaining effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Providing advice and manage issues to safeguard and enhance SA Water’s reputation.

Your success in this role will come from:

  • Tertiary qualifications in communications, public relations, marketing, or a related discipline.
  • Extensive experience as a senior communications practitioner in complex environments, adept at managing both proactive and reactive communication activities.
  • A proven ability to develop and evaluate integrated communication campaigns and build strong stakeholder relationships.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a track record of producing effective and impactful content.
  • Experience handling large, complex projects is desirable.
