School Services Officer

St Cecilia's Catholic Primary School, Balgowlah is currently seeking an energetic and passionate School Services Officer (level 4). The successful candidate will be suitably qualified and enjoy working in a dynamic and cohesive team.

This is a temporary part-time (18 hours per fortnight) opportunity to start on 31 January 2025 and end on 26 January 2026. During this engagement, the successful candidate will be required to work on Wednesday and Thursday of every week.

Specific Criteria

• Be highly effective, skilled administration services/support officer with experience in a busy dynamic office environment
• Possess high level interpersonal, presentation and communication skills, and the ability to develop positive relationships with staff, student, parents/carers and community members
• Be familiar with various software packages which may include but not limited to Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, Compass
• Demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills
• Be task focused with attention to detail and flexibility regarding duties
• Be able to work collaboratively as part of a dynamic professional learning community
• Have a valid First Aid Certificate (desirable)
• Knowledge in use of SAS eg: inputting student, parent, staff information
• Preparing newsletter
• Knowledge in use of Compass
• Receipting Bpays

New position on COVID-19 vaccinations

Given the current management of risks associated with COVID-19 in the community, and the gradual wind-back of some settings, CSBB has decided to no longer require all staff to be fully vaccinated, effective 19 September 2022. Staff who are not vaccinated will be required to wear masks when working with children at greater risk of serious illness owing to a medical condition and/or physical disability.
