About you

We are now seeking an experienced full-time civil engineering drafter to join us.

Your job description:

1.   Collaborating with engineers to design, develop, and test solutions for civil engineering projects, with a focus on light gauge steel, residential, and light commercial structures.

2.   Producing detailed documentation, including sketches, charts, and basic designs, for commercial and residential construction projects

3.   Drafting plans and technical drawings for civil engineering works, such as drainage, water supply, sewerage systems, and structural elements, using AutoCAD software.

4.   Managing project timelines and resources, including maintaining and recording timesheets for civil projects, to ensure adherence to project schedules.

5.   Preparing detailed construction designs for residential and commercial civil projects, incorporating efficient and economical design principles.

6.   Creating technical charts for systems like drainage, water supply, and sewerage, in line with project specifications for residential and commercial developments.

7.   Reviewing and amending structural drawings as necessary to meet client requirements and comply with industry regulations.

8.   Assisting senior civil engineers by evaluating execution drawings and providing solutions for any issues encountered during construction.

9.   Supervising the preparation of as-built drawings and overseeing the construction process in accordance with design plans, under the guidance of senior civil engineers.

10. Conducting site surveys and preparing reports, including collecting data and analyzing results, to inform project designs and decisions.

Experience &Skills

High competency with AutoCad and all Microsoft Office suites. 

Previous experience in a similar role within the construction environment.
