The Opportunity

Are you a passionate QA Leader with a track record for building high-performance teams and achieving extraordinary business outcomes? 

The position of the QA Lead holds a leadership role in Medibank's Digital Platforms and Engineering team.

Reporting directly to the QA Practice Lead. This role carries the responsibility of leading a team of QA’s to undertake all quality engineering activities required to deliver technology solutions that meet the business needs. 

Some of your duties include:  

Leading QAs to undertake testing activities required to deliver high-quality technology solutions to meet the business needs  Apply Test modelling techniques & QA best practices to help the delivery teams improve in building quality solutions. Drives a culture where teams own quality and work towards defect prevention on top of defect detection.  Ensure the teams are thinking about best ways to measure the quality of the solutions and track it across time.  Drive improvement of measurement & visualisation of quality metrics.  Direct line management of a group of QA Engineers of up to 8  Responsible for test planning and execution across applications web and API applications.

Your strengths and experience: 

 You are a passionate Quality and Automation Lead with a track record for managing high performance QA teams and achieving extraordinary delivery outcome via manual and automation testing. You had good exposure in the web and API space.

Drawing from previous experience, you have strong stakeholder engagement skills and a natural ability to influence outcomes. You understand the importance of collaboration and teamwork for delivery outcomes. 

You are a seasoned professional who can formulate a vision and achieve successful business outcomes through collaborative teamwork and responsible decision-making. 

Required skills  

Develop and maintain test cases and test data for functional, integration, performance, and security testing of APIs. Utilize and manage testing tools and frameworks such as Postman, SoapUI, JMeter, and others. Exposure to web applications with good understanding on AEM , React. Proven experience in an Agile working environment. Experience in integrating test automation frameworks with a CI/CD model and tools.  Extensive testing experience with hands on test automation experience in web and API. Proficiency across multiple test automation tools and frameworks, preferably Playwright and Postman. Ability to lead & mentor others Is not afraid of conflict/resolution.
