Job Description
The Commercial Products team manages a fleet of custom-built systems that perform critical functions for our Sales Operations, Traffic, Finance and Presentation teams, which make it possible for us to sell and traffic ads into our linear broadcasts schedules. In other words, our systems manage all revenue associated with broadcast.
You are someone who understands the place of core systems within a large organization, comfortable working with a variety of technical and non technical stakeholders.
As a leader you’ll embody best practice and set an example for the other members of your team, as well as informal mentoring of other engineers.
Role responsibilities:
Identify opportunities to improve engineering and delivery practices and processes Deliver system improvements and new functionality according to stated business goals Participate in and, when required, facilitate team ceremonies Feed into the product roadmap, identify opportunities for technical improvement Deliver business value via improved reliability, performance, and efficiency Work with engineers to peer review code, problem solve, advise on best practices Champion a high standard of excellenceUphold Nine’s business continuity by ensuring that 9Galaxy is an effective and robust platform
Qualifications
Advanced knowledge of .NET Framework, .NET Core and SQL Server essential Prior experience in a similar tech lead role Brownfields improvement programs (identification and decrease of tech debt) DevOps principles and practices Excellent understanding of Agile principles Prior experience with .NET WCF and WPF technologies strongly beneficial New Relic, Mulesoft, TeamCity, Octopus Deploy and RabbitMQ are beneficial
