We specialise in the construction and maintenance of landscape projects for commercial properties, government facilities, and public spaces. We have multiple working depots and offices in Queensland, Western Australia, Victoria and South Australia. We are seeking an experienced and dynamic State Manager to join our team and lead our operations in Queensland.  The position is predominantly based out of Currumbin on the Gold Coast and will include travel to the Sunshine coast on a regular basis.  Occasionally, you’ll be required to travel to our Head Office in Perth, WA.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a strategic leader with a passion for landscaping to drive business growth and ensure the successful execution of our projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Autonomous role that oversees day-to-day operations of the state’s commercial landscaping projects.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of project managers, estimators, site supervisors, and landscaping staff.
  • Develop and implement strategies to grow the business within the state.
  • Prepare and manage the state’s budget and financial performance.
  • Ensure all operations comply with local regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring satisfaction and managing client contracts.
  • Develop new and maintain existing relationships within local and industry partners.

Essential Criteria:

  • Local knowledge of the landscape construction and maintenance environment in QLD, particularly SEQ.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior management role within the landscaping or construction industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale projects and teams.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience with budgeting and financial management.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Desired Criteria:

  • Bachelor or post graduate qualification in Business Management, Horticulture, Landscape Architecture, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of sustainable landscaping practices.
  • Experience with business development and client management.
