**The Opportunity**

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced electrical engineer who has experience undertaking roles as a Technical Advisor to join a newly established and growing team of planning engineers and policy experts to reform Victoria's transmission system and Renewable Energy Zone (REZ) development.

The Technical Advisor, Victorian Transmission Plan will contribute to the development and implementation of planning criteria to reform the Victorian transmission system and Renewable Energy Zone (REZ) development. You will ideally have experience preparing technical reports and providing assumptions to the power systems infrastructure augmentations and working on renewable energy projects.

You will have prior electrical engineering experience preferably in renewable energy space, ideally including the national electricity regulatory framework (the National Electricity Law and National Electricity Rules), as well as Victorian energy legislation. A large part of this role is to be able to lead and provide sound technical advice on multiple projects and business areas. Knowledge and exposure to

**What you will deliver**

Provide effective technical input and advise for the development of Victorian Transmission in the form of reports and presentations.

Leveraging your technical expertise and ability to communicate, you will prepare written advice and documents clearly articulating complex concepts for a range of audiences within Government, ensuring the technical advice is clearly conveyed in simple and easy to ready language.

**What you will bring**

A demonstrated understanding of cost breakdowns in reports and analysis. Where external vendors are involved, be able to convey the necessary findings and hold parties involved accountable in delivering against agreement.

Your ability to communicate with a range of audiences in a written and verbal manner including managing challenging stakeholder relationships to achieve uniformed outcomes especially in times of negotiation and resistance..

Track record leading projects with multiple stakeholders whilst managing competing priorities.

Demonstrated ability to think on a holistic level, considering wide-ranging possibilities in developing a vision for the future; and can relay these into building team strategies. This will be applied through day-to-day engagement with colleagues within the team of different role titles.
