About the role
The Program Group Facilitator role is a part-time position facilitating psycho-educational groups across all services at Calvary Drug and Alcohol Centre. This role will predominately be in the residential program which is a 3 phased program. This is a safe and respectful environment, to learn from each other and explore personal issues that contribute to substance use.
Your main duties will include:
- Facilitation of Psycho-educational groups in a Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation unit
- Plan, implement and facilitate other treatment activities, action meetings and special activities as negotiated with the clinical team.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of program modules
About you
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in nursing , community services , alcohol and other drugs, mental health, social work or other relevant behavioural science or education qualifications
- Registration or eligibility for membership with relevant professional/ discipline body
- Demonstrate proficiency in the group facilitation of evidence based Motivational Enhancement and Cognitive Behavioural Therapies.
- Knowledge of best practice principles in all clinical work such as Relapse Prevention, Family Inclusive Practice, Dual Diagnosis Principles, Trauma Informed Practice, etc.
