About this role:

We are seeking an experienced trainer or careers counsellor to join our team at Sureway in Wagga Wagga. As a Career Transition Facilitator, you will be working in the Career Transition Assistance program (CTA), assisting individuals who are 45 and over to build confidence and develop skills, supporting them back into work and guiding them through the process of taking on new careers. You will deliver training, advice, and ultimately help them become more competitive in the local employment market.

Key responsibilities:

  • Consult and assess applicants to determine their suitability for the program
  • Deliver employment-focused training in small groups, tailored to individual needs
  • Display sound information technology and administration skills
  • Build and maintain relationships with other Employment Services providers promoting benefits of the program to engage with potential participants

Requirements:

  • The ability to connect and engage with diverse groups in an empathetic, motivating, and encouraging way
  • Experience delivering training to adults adapting methods to suit participant needs
  • A strong knowledge of the local labor market and a sound understanding of what drives success in the job-searching process
  • Sound information technology and administration skills
  • Enthusiasm, commitment, flexibility, and positive attitude in working with participants to achieve employment outcomes
  • Knowledge of the Employment Services industry (desirable)
