About the role

Reporting to the HSE Superintendent, we are seeking an experienced HSE Advisor to provide specialist support to our exploration team.

The ideal person will be responsible for leading and supporting successful delivery of Health Safety and Environment practices across all WA exploration projects. 

This role is offered on a permanent full-time basis, based in the Gold Road West Perth office with the requirement to travel to regional projects with the exploration team.

Key Responsibilities

Broadly, the key responsibilities will include:

  • Support the Superintendent with managing the Gold Road Health, Safety and Environment Management System
  • Provide advice and support to the exploration team to ensure effective HSE Knowledge and engagement across all functions
  • Review mobilisation documentation for approval
  • Ensure an effective inspection and audit routine is adhered to
  • Support and mentor leaders with incident investigations for all incidents
  • Be part of the emergency management team during emergency events
  • Lead and coordinate project-based risk training
  • Conduct Environmental audits, waste, Hydrocarbon Management and rehabilitation
  • Assist with the development of environmental procedures to improve environmental management

About yourself

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Formal qualification Certificate IV (or higher) in Occupational Health & Safety
  • Formal Environmental qualification (preferred)
  • Experience working in a HSE position in the resources and or exploration industry
  • Working knowledge and application of Mining and Occupational Health and Safety legislation
  • Experience with the development and delivery of training content and design
  • Proven experience as an incident casual Analysis Method (ICAM) Investigation
  • Current First Aid Certificate
