    We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Registered Nurse Scrub Scout who is passionate to join the Scrub Scout Team on a part-time basis. You will play a key role within a supportive team in ensuring high levels of patient care are provided.

    As a Registered Nurse - Scrub Scout your responsibilities will include:

    • Aiming to achieve optimal patient outcomes throughout the patient journey and continuum of care by following evidence-based practice.
    • Demonstrating exceptional clinical expertise and knowledge of procedures and the management of patients within the theatre complex.
    • Implementing strategies to ensure that quality and risk management are integrated into daily activities
    • Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
    • Maintaining current knowledge and skills to ensure continued professional development.
    • Providing education and training assistance to other staff when applicable.

    About the Company
    For over 20 years the dedicated team of healthcare professionals have provided care to patients in greater western Sydney.
    The hospital has 98 patient-beds and provides a large range of medical and acute services including; seven operating theatres, Angiography suite, 10 bed Intensive Care Unit, Maternity Unit, a Level Two, six patient-bed Special Care Nursery as well as a Day Surgery Unit, Mental Health Unit, Oncology Department as well as pharmacy and radiology services.
    In collaboration with a large range of accredited private specialists they are leader in comprehensive range of medical and surgical specialties including, but not limited to, neurosurgery, orthopaedics, ear nose and throat, general and plastic surgery, gastroenterology and endoscopy, obstetrics and gynaecology, bariatric surgery, urology and mental health services.

    About You

    • Current Registration with AHPRA
    • 18 months minimum experience as an RN – Scrub Scout
    • Working with Children check (if relevant)
    • Commitment to Quality Patient Care
    • Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
    • Sound clinical decision making and problem solving skills
    • Excellent communication and customer service skills
    • Works well independently and within a team
    • Basic computer skills
