Project Manager

Are you Senior Project Manager with prior experience of supporting projects within the Defence Sector?

Due to continued growth and project wins we are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our Infrastructure team in Adelaide to provide support to key Defence Projects.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned Project Manager with a proven track record in team leadership and client engagement. In this role, you will be responsible for managing multiple defence projects, ensuring seamless communication and alignment between our team and our clients.

Your strong client liaison experience and leadership presence will be crucial in meeting expectations and maintaining client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities include:

Leading a diverse, multi-disciplinary team to achieve project goals.

Building and maintaining strong client relationships, representing their interests within the organization

Engaging directly with clients to set and manage expectations, ensuring their needs are met.

Providing clear and concise direction to the delivery team.

Defining and executing detailed project plans in collaboration with senior team members.

Ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards

Handling commercial obligations, including negotiation, conflict resolution, and managing subcontracts

Managing and mitigating key risks across the projects.

Your team management responsibilities will include:

Mentoring and developing team members to enhance their skills and performance.

Fostering a collaborative and inclusive team environment.

Assigning roles and responsibilities based on team members' strengths and project execution requirements.

Monitoring team performance and providing constructive feedback.

Resolving conflicts and ensuring effective communication within the team.

Skills & Experience Required:

Significant experience in infrastructure project management, ideally within the defence sector.

Strong stakeholder management skills both internal and external, with the ability to communicate with people at all levels.

Your exceptional leadership skills will be vital in navigating the complexities of project management, fostering collaboration, and driving positive outcomes for both clients and internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate will demonstrate qualities such as strong interpersonal skills, adaptability, strategic thinking, and the ability to inspire and motivate a team.

Candidate must hold Australian Citizenship.

Current NV1 level Clearance or the ability to obtain Defence clearance required.

Ideally the role will be Adelaide based, however consideration may be given to candidates based in other locations and are open to working from another KBR Australia office.
