About The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled procurement expert to join a busy and growing Procurement team. The Procurement function, while expanding in capability and maturity continues to operate legacy processes in a very manual environment. The function is going through an overhaul with the intent of improving skills, processes, and systems.

This role is designed to work closely with the Group Procurement Manager to drive the transformation agenda while bringing a level of standardisation and maturity to the function. The role will drive review of processes, tools and technologies, lift the team capability and manage some BAU and category activity as required.

Role specific expectations

  • Assist with escalations, project and BAU issues from the Procurement team.
  • Drive improvements of Procurement templates, process, and governance.
  • With a good knowledge of procurement systems and best practice Procurement processes and tools, assist in the development of the future state.
  • Work closely with the Procurement Manager to increase the maturity of the Procurement function from strategy to improved performance and vendor management.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of category management strategies and templates.
  • Experience is expected across Source to Contract and Procure to Pay with knowledge of sustainable procurement practices.

Skills and Experience

  • Excellent knowledge and experience in end-to-end procurement process and technologies including SAP and other such procurement tools and platforms. Ideally been through a previous transformation journey.
  • Excellent strategic and transactional sourcing and procurement experience across a wide range of categories.
  • Exposure and familiarity with end-to-end Facilities Management from leasing and property to ongoing maintenance.
  • Sound commercial acumen accompanied by proven contract and legal negotiation.
  • Excellent communication and inter-personal skills at all levels within the organization and with external stakeholders.
  • Intermediate to Advanced computer literacy (MS Office Suite)
  • Exceptional problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Organisation and people skills with the ability to set priorities, problem solve, multitask, and work in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment.

About You

  • A procurement practitioner, proficient in end-to-end processes and technologies. Will suit someone who has managed procurement projects and teams.
  • Commercially focused with highly developed communication, problem solving, negotiation and relationship building skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to execute procurement programs from concept through implementation with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work in a greenfields environment where no two days are the same but the opportunity for change is enormous.
  • Good working knowledge of SAP and other procurement tools.
