The company
This well-known and trusted national manufacturer and distributor of LV electrical and industrial automation products is seeking a Business Development Manager in Brisbane.
 
The position
Actively promoting and selling a wide range of LV Power Distribution products whilst growing the sales revenue and customer base. This role will be calling on Switchboard Builders & Contractors within the building and infrastructure space.

To achieve this, you will need to have a strong LV Power Distribution background, the ability to work autonomously and take ownership of your work, great communication skills and a desire to provide exceptional service.

This would make an exciting role for someone who is looking to get off the tools and move into sales. Full training & support is provided.
 
Duties include:

  • Regular travel to customer within the Greater Brisbane region.
  • Developing & executing sales action plan aligned with the state strategy.
  • Making an average of 40 face to face sales calls per month.
  • Achieving individual & team sales targets, gross margin and contribution targets.
  • Familiarising with the market and the Power Solutions Business Channels – Consultants, Switchboard Manufacturers, Major Electrical Contractors, Solar Contractors and System Integrators.
  • Creating sales call reports & maintaining quotations in the CRM to meet the requirements of your role.
  • Assisting to coordinate product managers / product specialists sales visits with customers.

 
Skills & experience required:

  • An electrical trade or engineering qualification is preferred, but not essential.
  • Solid sales experience coupled with LV Power Distribution background.
  • Existing relationships with Switchboard Builders is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Willingness to work as part of a team, to learn and create solutions.
