About the role

Calvary Central Districts is currently seeking enthusiastic orderlies, for our soon to be expanding Peri-operative Suite. This is an exciting and unique opportunity to join our team with a focus on development.

The time is now to join our expanding team, with the prospect of opening a brand new hospital 2025

Thus we are looking for dynamic, driven people, with a passion to work in Theatre.
 
Your main duties will include:

  • The Orderly will be required to develop effective working relationships, displaying commitment to customer service with all nursing and medical personnel as well as general, patient and administrative services personnel
  • Knowledge, understanding and demonstration of customer service culture in healthcare
  • The Orderly is accountable to the Theatre Manager for the performance of a range of ancillary and portering duties associated with servicing of the Perioperative unit.  He/she works as an effective team member under general direction and is able to maintain confidentiality, communicate effectively and demonstrate empathy and courtesy to patients and staff at all times.
  • Able to contribute to the maintenance of a safe working environment for patients, visitors and staff

  • Ability and drive to be adaptable and a 'Team Player'.
  • Drive to learn and expand knowledge base, as well as guide and support other staff.
  • A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation, demonstrated communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
