Are you a skilled and experienced Workplace Relations Advisor with a passion for helping organisations achieve their goals through effective employment relations? We are seeking an exceptional candidate to join our client’s team and provide expert advice, guidance, and support to stakeholders across the organisation.
With a rich history, our client is undergoing a major period of exciting growth. Following the appointment of a highly experienced HR leader, the team is delivering to a new HR strategy and strengthening workplace relations is a key underpinning facet.
This newly created role presents an amazing opportunity to build upon your solid knowledge of the FWA and employment law, working closely and being developed directly by the HR leader. Responsibilities will be varied, and will include:

  • Provision of practical expert advice and guidance to a variety of stakeholders on a wide range of relevant workplace relations and employment relations issues
  • Assist in the prevention and resolution of disputes, grievances, and consultations with employees and unions
  • Support the HR leader with planning, analysis and other key aspects of enterprise agreement negotiations (there are numerous Agreements, so this will provide an excellent opportunity to develop deep knowledge and experience)
  • Assist in operationalising enterprise agreements and conducting periodic audits for compliance
  • Provide advice and negotiation support for employment contracts
  • Stay up to date with legislative changes and collaborate with the People & Culture team to provide training to minimise risk and ensure compliance
  • Guide managers on the interpretation and classifications of positions against agreements and awards
  • Provide continuous coaching on workplace relations topics, such as Right of Entry, Consultation, Facilitative Provisions, Unfair Dismissal, and General Protections
  • Support complex case management matters and guide managers through these processes
  • Assist with planning and preparation for attendance at FWC hearings, conciliations, and conferences

Key to your success in this role and organisation will be your ability to embrace opportunities to learn as they come. Working with a diverse workforce across Australia, your will develop strong relationships and communicate and influence effectively across all levels of the organisation.
Additionally, you will have:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Law, or related disciplines
  • Experience in providing expert workplace relations advice, preferably in a blue collar industry (or similar)
  • Solid knowledge of the FWA, NES and IR system, and experience working across multiple enterprise agreements and awards
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a solution-focused approach
