The Role 

A terrific opportunity exists to join our team as School Psychologist/Counsellor working 37.5 hours a week during term time only (part time) permanent role, at our Caulfield Campus.  Whilst you will be working term time only, you will liaise closely with external and internal stakeholders to provide comprehensive one to one and group counselling services. 

The successful candidate will work closely with the Campus Leadership Team at our Caulfield Campus to enhance student’s academic success, psychological health and social and emotional wellbeing. 

The position: 

• Provide counselling to students, and consult with parents in the management of educational, social, behavioural and emotional difficulties 
• Build strong professional relationships with key stakeholders to support the delivery of counselling services 
• Prioritise and manage educational assessments; write reports and liaise with staff and parents 
• Be actively involved in the School’s pastoral care and personal development program 
• Ensure administration and record keeping is maintained to a high standard 
• Model and live the Caulfield Grammar School values and behaviours 

Skills and Experience: 

• Appropriate qualifications as set by Psychology Board of Australia (PsyBA) and registration with AHPRA where applicable 
• Significant professional experience 
• Experience within an educational setting, particularly working with adolescents, would be highly regarded 
• Understanding of relevant legislation in relation to child protection 
• Experience in administering ability tests such as WISC would be advantageous 
• Employment Working With Children Check
