Job Description:

The Associate (Employee) Relations function supports line managers and Associates to address Associate Relations Matters and foster good working relationships, with a balance of business and associate advocacy. In this role, you will support the broader AR function as required to: build trust, credibility and collaborative relationships with Line Managers and Associates. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Assist the function in managing and resolving Associate Relations queries as required ranging from systems support to hands on case management as required  

  • Partnering and coaching line managers on performance management process and documentation. 

  • Partnering with line managers on processes related to separations, severance options and transition assistance 

  • Provide advice to HR Business Partners, Line Managers and Associates on AR issues. policies and recommendations 

  • Make recommendations regarding policies, practices and procedures focused on improving consistency, effectiveness and capability 

  • Support the development and delivery of capability building programs for line managers and HR Business Partners on Associate Relations 

  • Advise and support on sickness, absence and leave management with Line Management and our Health and Wellbeing team 

  • Willingness and ability to travel from time to time, including overnight. 

What we are looking for: 

  • Experience working in Human Resources/Labor Relation or Talent Acquisition 

  • Strong communication: ability to work and communicate effectively with a wide range of individuals across different levels of the organisation including strong analytical and problem-solving skills 

  • An awareness of applicable employment and labour relations regulation and interpretation of industrial instruments / Awards 

  • Prioritising work, meeting deadlines, and work effectively while managing competing projects and stakeholders.
