The Government and Defence (G&D) business unit delivers customised and integrated solutions enabling our Government and Defence clients to achieve success. What we do: Lead Logistics Services (4PL), Contingency and Sustainment Services (including port agency and fuel management services), Aviation Services​ (airport and rotary wing services) as well as healthcare storage and supply chain management.

The Opportunity

We're hiring a Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) Advisor to enhance our Government and Defence (G&D) division. Your role will focus on spearheading proactive measures and fostering a culture of ongoing enhancement within G&D's HSEQ frameworks.

Harnessing your meticulous attention to detail and practical expertise, you'll ensure strict adherence to Australian regulatory and industry standards.

A day in the life of a HSEQ Systems Advisor at Toll Group:

  • Safeguard Government & Defence's international and industry accreditations for ISO standards, ensuring they remain current and in compliance.
  • Coordinate with accreditation agencies to efficiently schedule, staff, and budget external audits.
  • Manage internal and external audit results, identifying improvement opportunities and resolving non-conformance.
  • Maintain accuracy and currency of data within company databases, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure effective management.
  • Establish and maintain document control processes for HSEQ within Government & Defence.

What You'll Need to Succeed

  • Certificate 4 in Workplace Health and Safety (required).
  • ISO:9001 Lead Auditor Certified or equivalent (required).
  • ISO:9001 Quality Management systems (preferred).
  • Strong project planning, time, communication and people leadership skills at all levels of business & knowledge in WHS, ISO Standards (QMS, EMS, OHS) Management Systems.
  • Knowledge of WHS legislation and statutes, and ability to interpret any applicable statutes or legislation relevant to client requirements.
