About the Role

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Pastry Chef to join the Black Star Pastry team in our CBDStore, located in the gorgeous Galleries.

Our Service Chefs play a critical role in the final stage of production for our show stopping cakes, cutting, adding garnishes and ensuring quality control of all products.

Roster

This is a full-time role with availability ideally Tuesday to Saturday.

Hours are 6am-2pm.

About You

  • 2-3 year’s experience as a Pastry Chef.
  • Team players with a positive attitude.
  • Passionate about customer experience and product quality.
  • Commitment to food safety.
  • Ability to deal with the repetitive nature of working instore and maintaining the highest quality and service standards.

About the Business

Black Star Pastry opened its first boutique patisserie in Newtown in 2008 and since then we have grown into an institution with stores across Sydney.

We are most famous for our Strawberry Watermelon Cake which continues to be a social media sensation, with the New York Times declaring it “the world’s most instagrammed cake.”
