Production Manager

This is a full-time on-site role for a Production Supervisor at Kongal Seeds in Kongal, SA. The Production Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing manufacturing processes, ensuring efficient production, managing staff, and maintaining quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage safe application of chemicals and other treatments to product
  • Overseeing the processing and packaging of all Kongal Seeds products
  • Managing the clean down and maintenance of all plant and equipment
  • Completing and approving all processing work orders
  • Ensuring a safe working environment; and 
  • managing quality management system responsibilities as they relate to the processing plant

To be successful in the role:

  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within a production environment
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality control
  • Basic understanding of seed plant and equipment mechanical/electrical function
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues and ensure smooth production flow
  • Drivers license
  • Forklift license
  • ChemCert accreditation preferred or willing to obtain
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and warehouse management software
  • Physically fit. Ability to lift 25kg
