As the Sr. Category Manager , you play a crucial role in enabling Hasbro`s ambition to become partner of choice for the trade and to win category captaincies with leading retailers like Big W, KMart, and Target, to ultimately drive further growth for the toys & games category.

You understand how to establish objective, fact-based category management relationships with customer teams, separate from sales and marketing, by supporting and advising the trade on total category decisions. You have a thorough understanding of retailer strategy and are an expert on shopper attitudes, needs, and behaviors, enabling you to develop triple-win solutions with benefits for the shopper, the retailer, and for Hasbro.

This high-impact role oversees the total category management agenda with strategic trade partners (both brick & mortar and online) across the Pacific region. You will be working collaboratively with cross-functional stakeholders, including local sales and marketing teams, as well as regional and global CMI teams.

You report into the Director, Category Management & Insights, for EMEA, APAC, LatAm.

A Day In the Life of the Sr. Category Manager Pacific:

Identify growth potential via category management by defining Hasbro must-win battles, category & customer prioritization (based on size of prize and will & skill to collaborate) Provide category advice to agreed focus customers, including omnichannel assortment, shopper-centric merchandising, category promotions & tentpole activations, and long-term category vision. Seek to actively influence the category strategy of top customers, to secure disproportionate wins for Hasbro via increased share of assortment, distribution, and space. Own and manage customer, category, and shopper data & insights for the region, including 3rd party data Circana, Kantar/Euromonitor). Partner with global CMI team on identifying and closing insights gaps on the Pacific shopper for toys & games via custom shopper research. Champion the toys & games shopper in internal and external discussions, ensuring that the triggers and barriers for shopper decision making are understood and considered in category, range, space, and pricing/promo decisions. Lead Pacific omnichannel range recommendations for the entire Hasbro portfolio. Partner with sales team to input category insights into sales plans, customer previews, T2T/customer meetings, JBPs. Act as change agent for category management understanding and adoption within the broader commercial functions.

What You'll Bring:

Minimum of 5-7 years of business experience,  preferably spent in CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods). Expertise and working knowledge in category management is required. Strong numeracy, analytical skills. Able to turn insights into action through clear storytelling. Excellent communication and presentation skills, proven success in customer-facing role. Business partnership skills, able to collaborate, influence, and work in a matrix organization. Experience working with retailer POS/loyalty card data and 3rd party data Circana, Kantar/Euromonitor).
