About The Role
With an enormous amount of rich data collected through our market research, this role is about converting and transforming raw data into common, meaningful and user experience centric formats to our clients to facilitate analysis.
As the Reporting Analyst reporting to the Team Leader – Reporting, you will report survey data on time, to quality standards and with a high degree of accuracy for internal and external clients. You will also be on the lookout for ways to continually improve the way we present data and insights to customers through our BI tools.
The key responsibilities of this role will encompass:
• Produce accurate and high-quality reports within given timelines using various data sources including Roy Morgan survey data and external data;
• Check trends and overlaps on databases and reports, against set benchmarks;
• Transform/extend/combine raw data from multiple sources into a common format, to produce meaningful data for analysis;
• Develop and produce report automation tools;
• Liaise with our Client Services and/or Data Processing Teams regarding data requirements and queries; and
• Create and maintain documentation of tasks and processes within the Reporting Team.
About You
• A tertiary qualification in Information Systems, Computer Science Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of working experience in data management, reporting and data analytics, using Tableau, Power BI or similar tools.
• Experience with ETL processes, including data gathering, cleaning, end-to-end analysis, and presentation / visualization.
• Experience working with system databases, including relational database concepts and advanced skills in Excel and non-SQL data sources.
• Experience with programming languages / software used for data engineering (VBA, Python, R, etc) will be highly regarded.
• High degree of attention to detail, including accuracy with data management, requirement assessment, and problem solving.
• Able to work effectively in a team, as well as independently with minimal supervision.
