RetireAustralia is seeking a talented and dedicated cook to join our passionate team at our Belrose Country Club Retirement Village on a part-time basis. As our inhouse cook, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional cooking services to our residents, ensuring they enjoy delicious and nutritious meals while adhering to the highest standards of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HS&E) policies and procedures.

The Position
Reporting to the Village Manager, you will also be responsible for:

  • Assisting in the control and monitoring of stock take, food orders, and costing for an efficient kitchen operation.
  • Maintaining and managing food handling regulations.
  • Planning and preparing food for events and special functions within the village.
  • Ensuring privacy and confidential policies are adhere to strictly and information regarding our residents will only be provided to external parties by management.

We’re on the lookout for someone with:

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role
  • Experience in preparation of nutritionally adequate and appropriate meals specific to a range of special requirements for elderly residents
  • Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery/formal Chef/Cook training
  • Current Food Handling Certificate
  • National Police Check (or ability to obtain)
  • First Aid & CPR Certificate (or ability to obtain)
  • Prepared to undertake a pre-employment medical assessment including Drug and Alcohol Testing
