POSITION: CULINARY SPECIALIST

RetireAustralia is in search of a skilled and passionate culinary specialist to contribute to our dedicated team at the Belrose Country Club Retirement Village on a part-time basis. In this role, you will be instrumental in delivering outstanding culinary services to our residents, ensuring they receive appetizing and healthful meals while complying with the highest standards of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HS&E) policies and procedures.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the Village Manager, your duties will include:

  • Overseeing and managing inventory, food procurement, and budgeting to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
  • Adhering to and enforcing food safety regulations.
  • Planning and preparing meals for events and special occasions within the community.
  • Maintaining strict confidentiality regarding resident information, sharing details only with authorized personnel.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR CANDIDATES WHO POSSESS:

  • Proven experience in a similar culinary role.
  • Expertise in creating nutritionally balanced meals tailored to the specific dietary needs of elderly residents.
  • Completion of Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent formal culinary training.
  • Current Food Handling Certificate.
  • Ability to obtain a National Police Check.
  • First Aid & CPR Certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Willingness to undergo a pre-employment medical evaluation, including drug and alcohol testing.
