This role is the perfect opportunity for you to take the next step in your career working directly with ABC News editorial leaders to deliver innovative video content for digital and broadcast platforms.
Every day you will:
Work with reporters in the Melbourne newsroom to ensure that compelling storytelling is a central feature of our video content. Communicate and coordinate key stories and breaking news around Australia and overseas, speaking to Foreign Bureaux, Network and State Teams. Help shape those stories and deliver them to the audience in a timely manner on whichever platform they consume our content. Produce high-quality and engaging news content for all ABC Video Platforms, using the latest news graphics and digital video techniques. Engage in editorial discussions and pitch story ideas ensuring our content is more relevant to more Australian’s. Have the opportunity to build relationships, develop your editorial experience and build the skills you need to continue to develop your career.Job Description:
About You
'Innovative' and 'Enthusiastic' describe you perfectly You will have a bucket load of new ideas and be passionate about telling the audience the news they need to know. You will be able to think outside the box by creating engaging video content for digital platforms.
In addition:
You will love looking for new angles, collaborating broadly to both learn and share ideas. You will have a curiosity and drive to understand user behaviours, their engagement with Video on Demand platforms, and the influence they have on how news is presented and distributed.
