Purpose of the Role

As our new Motor Claims Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading, motivating and developing a team of Motor Claims Consultants.

Position Accountabilities

  • Develop, coach, and motivate a team of Motor Claims Consultants including daily coaching to ensure Consultants maintain skills, competencies & provide a high standard of service
  • Prioritization and allocation of team portfolios including workload management
  • Conduct performance reviews and assist with staffing requirements & recruitment
  • Provide technical guidance and act as an escalation point on complex claims and complaints
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Motor Claims operating model
  • Provide technical product, process, system, and compliance support
  • Maintain highly effective working relationships with key stakeholders (internal & external)
  • Ensure Auto & General policies & procedures are adhered to

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Minimum 1 years in a leadership role with a customer facing organization or within a call centre, preferably with strong coaching experience
  • Experience with Motor Claims experience beneficial
  • Able to develop and maintain strong stakeholder relationships
  • Good attention to detail and problem resolution skills
  • Experience developing processes & procedures
  • Ability to effectively manage conflict and negotiate where required
