About the role
As the Communications Coordinator, you will be the driving force behind Neumann Steel's digital communications strategy, keeping our geographical team informed and connected. You will develop and implement a plan to foster a positive, inclusive and collaborative work environment, all while managing a variety of events – from company meetings to industry conferences and regional roadshows. Reporting directly to the Marketing & Administration Manager, you will have a significant impact on shaping Neumann Steel's brand image.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive communication digital strategy that builds trust and accountability across all levels.
  • Plan and implement initiatives that encourage collaboration, open communication, and the exchange of ideas.
  • Contribute to the overall future direction of the Neumann Steel brand through event planning and execution.  
  • Champion inclusivity and lead by example and actively promote a culture of diversity and inclusion.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Communicates with honesty and integrity, fostering a culture where everyone feels comfortable speaking up.
  • Create and share content that highlights our expertise in automated manufacturing, sustainability and diversity.
  • Think creatively, embraces new ideas, and actively seeks solutions to improve digital communication strategies.
  • Foster relationships with the local community and establish partnerships to enhance the Neumann Steel brand.
  • Propose and facilitate recognition initiatives to acknowledge achievements within the organisation.
  • Collaborate with and provide guidance to the Human Resources team and other internal stakeholders on relevant initiatives and policies, including handling and communicating sensitive information.
  • Undertake additional tasks, duties, and projects as assigned and directed.

What are we looking for in the successful candidate?

  • Relevant qualification in Public Relations, Communications or business-related discipline.
  • Proven experience in digital marketing, events management and communications.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proactive problem-solving abilities and a customer-focused mindset.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong work ethic, results-oriented, and strives for continuous improvement.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • An ability to think outside the box and bring creative initiative.
