The Coomera Parish Youth Coordinator position is designed to foster Catholic formation for young people in our community through outreach, youth groups and other opportunities. The Youth Coordinator will be required to:

  • work according to the Evangelisation Brisbane Strategic plan and its goals
  • run a weekly high-school youth group on Friday evenings during school terms
  • visit our partnering schools (Assisi College & St Joseph’s College) to promote Encounter
  • build a positive relationship with the local parish school community
  • be a presence at Parishes masses and organise a monthly youth Mass.

Who we are looking for:

Coomera Parish is looking for an enthusiastic, vision-centered leader who -

  • will commit to the work of personal and faith formation of Youth in our Parish
  • can foster and grow the current youth group through engaging young people across personal, communal and social media
  • is capable of forming young people to be future Parish leaders?
  • demonstrates well-developed organizational skills which enable the Role Holder to provide ageappropriate events which engage the young
  • will commit to community engagement within the Parish
  • is willing to undertake personal formation through Archdiocesan Masterclasses and commitment to regular interaction with their supervisor from Evangelisation Brisbane

The successful candidate will:

  • report to the Team Leader for Youth and Young Adults in Evangelisation Brisbane
  • hold a Qld suitability card for child related employment (Blue Card)
  • show evidence of a current Police check or be willing to obtain such
  • hold a current Qld driver’s license.
