What you will do:

  • Prepare and cook food, ensuring all dishes meet our high standards
  • Plan and develop menus featuring a variety of kebabs and Mediterranean dishes, estimating food and labour costs, and ordering necessary food supplies
  • Monitor the quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation to ensure consistency and excellence
  • Collaborate with Managers and kitchen staff to discuss food preparation issues and implement solutions
  • Train other staff on kebab-specific cooking procedures
  • Explain and enforce hygiene and food safety regulations to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment
  • Select and train kitchen staff, fostering a positive and efficient team
  • May manage the freezing and preservation of foods to maintain freshness and reduce waste

What you should have:

  • Proven experience as a chef with experience in kebab or Mediterranean cuisine
  • Strong understanding of kitchen operations and food safety standards
  • Ability to plan menus and estimate food and labour costs effectively
  • Excellent culinary skills with a consistent output
  • Strong leadership and team management, time management, and general organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff of different skill levels
